Sean, please. Read the book Trading in the Zone. The PUA community, in my opinion is still out in left feild when it comes to understanding fear. Top traders seem to have a better handle on this one issue, in my opinion. In the book it is broken down this way: Fear = the anticipation of pain. There are two types of pain 1. physical 2. EMOTIONAL. We have pain avoidence mechanisms inside us that are subconsious. They cause us to evade, avoid and block what ever it is that might cause pain. Physical pain we understand but emotional pain..not so much. What is it we are trying to avoid when it comes to emotional pain...NEGATIVE INFORMATION. Top traders know that emotional intelligence on how to handle this negitive info seperates them from the other 90%. One more interesting thing we do with neg info is to DISTORT the info and not except it as truth (too painfull). So, will you except this information or block, evade, avoid, or distort it?
